Cash Me Ousside Girl Tells Dr. Phil That She Made Him Famous
Danielle, better know as the 13-year-old Dr. Phil guest who threatened the studio audience with “Cash me ousside! How bow dah?” has made her not-so-triumphant return to the talk show. This time, it was sans audience, as McGraw was concerned that she’d be “grandstanding” if given a crowd.
Danielle is an at-risk teen whose catchphrase “Cash Me Ousside” went viral and inspired numerous memes that the show clearly could not afford to license. After her tumultuous appearance on the show on September 15, 2016, the Dr. Phil producers paid for Danielle to spend over four months in a treatment camp known as Turn-About Ranch in Utah. There she worked with Shane, who was the sole member of the audience, and he spoke very highly of Danielle’s work and progress while working with the camp’s horses.
Dr. Phil asked Danielle and her mother Barbara Ann to return to the show to update us on this personal progress, but the pair were less than forthcoming and spent a fair amount of time arguing with McGraw and his producers. Ultimately, we were instead given a window into why Danielle may be the way she is when her mother made expensive demands of the show before agreeing to appear, and raising her voice at one producer for commenting that she should be more grateful for the help they were given.
After a lesson in the differences between fame and infamy, Dr. Phil assured us that even though Barbara Ann hasn’t changed, Danielle is far from a lost cause.
