De modo que, rupestre har\u00eda referencia a cualquier actividad humana sobre los muros de cavernas, covachas, abrigos rocosos e, incluso farallones o barrancos, etc.<br \/>\nRepresentaciones del arte prehist\u00f3rico: las pinturas(al estar protegidas de la erosi\u00f3n por la naturaleza del soporte, las pinturas rupestres han resistido el pasar de los siglos), los grabados, las esculturas y los petroglifos, grabados sobre piedra por percusi\u00f3n o erosi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Se trata de una de las manifestaciones art\u00edsticas m\u00e1s antiguas de las que se tiene constancia, ya que, al menos, existen testimonios datados hasta los 40.000 a\u00f1os de antig\u00fcedad.<\/p>\n<p>Estas pinturas \u2014 y las otras manifestaciones asociadas \u2014 revelan que el ser humano, desde tiempos prehist\u00f3ricos, organiz\u00f3 un sistema de representaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica, se cree, en general, que se halla relacionado con pr\u00e1cticas de car\u00e1cter m\u00e1gico-religiosas para propiciar la caza.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El t\u00e9rmino \u00abrupestre\u00bb deriva del lat\u00edn rupestris, y \u00e9ste de rupes (roca), aunque tambi\u00e9n es sin\u00f3nimo de primitivo.
